Aargau is the canton of carrots and a market dedicated to this vegetable is held on the first Wednesday of November. It has become a tradition but has only been going for about 40 years. There are around 140 stalls, many varieties of carrots, some of them turned into elaborate decorations and preparations such as cakes, jams and tarts.

Argovie est le canton de la carotte et le premier mercredi du mois de novembre, un marché dédié à ce légume a lieu à Aarau. C’est devenu une tradition mais il n’existe que depuis une quarantaine d’années. Il y a environ 140 marchands, de nombreuses variétés de carottes, certaines transformées décorations élaborées et diverses préparations culinaires telles que tartes, gâteaux et confitures.
