Along the Rhône

The Rhône river comes out of Lake Geneva and there is a lovely trail, right from the city, along its banks, all the way to the border with France.

There are many birds in its natural areas and it is particularly pleasant to take a boat to Verbois dam in autumn when the trees are really colourful and herons rest on the banks.

Still, walking along the river is pleasant at any time of the year and is popular with dog owners, trail runners and pretty much anyone who enjoys walking in wooded areas.

A nature haven on the doorstep of the city.

Over this month housesitting in Geneva, we have enjoyed all the stages of the arrival of spring.
