Along the Rotte

Rotterdam gets its name from the Rotte river and we took full advantage of the summerly weather to cycle along its banks.
Once out of town, the landscape is very Dutch: windmills, green pasture land, water everywhere, people doing physical exercise: sculling, kayaking, cycling, running, walking…
Still, we were surprised to come across a man-made hill with a skilift, slopes, a bobsleigh track. People were learning to ski and having fun going down inflatable sleds tracks.
