Yanaka, Tokyo

After spending a couple of rainy afternoons watching short movies at the Tokyo Shortshorts Film Festival, we were again ready for some outdoor activities, regardless of the weather.

We decided to go and explore Yanaka, a neighbourhood that has kept many pre-war wooden houses. As we strolled through its tiny lanes, we were reminded of rural Japan and our travel on Shikoku. We were surprised by the large number of peaceful temples.

The last photo is possibly Tokyo’s tiniest temple.
